The Dirty Guv’nahs - “Baby We Were Young”

Its no secret that as a result of Musikfest 2010, I became a huge fan of The Dirty Guv’nahs.

If you didn’t catch them at the ‘fest, shame on you.

Those that are familiar with these up-and-comers know that they play a particularly awesome arsenal of good, old-fashioned American rock and/or roll.

The other morning, whilst obsessively reading my Facebook news feed, I stumbled across a post the band made concerning their new video, for the song “Baby We Were Young” (one of my favorite tracks on their new album, Youth is in Our Blood.)

Tthe band took to the interwebs, asking their fans to send them videos of suggestions for the video.

I’m usually pretty skeptical when it comes to online, crowd-sourced projects, but I gotta tell ya, the Guv’nahs fans presented suggestions that actually led to a pretty entertaining video.

Oh, and even cooler, included in the aforementioned pool of Dirty Guv’nahs fans are Hayley Williams and Jeremy Davis of the band Paramore and funny man David Koechner (perhaps better known as “Champ Kind” in the movie Anchorman).
