Dala - Another reason why Jon loves Canada, eh?

I’m a huge fan of hockey, and as such, there will always be a special place in my heart for the great white north.  If you don’t share my unadulterated enthusiasm for Canada, I’m about to drop some knowledge on you.

Canada rules.  Don’t take me at my word… I submit to you my new favorite reason to love our friendly, northern neighbors: Dala.

Here’s my breakdown of why you should check out Dala:

If you like: Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, Dido, Shawn Colvin, modern, original folk rock

Who: Amanda Walther and Sheila Carabine (known as Dala).  They are Canadian musicians whose vocal styling and original song writing will melt your heart.   They’re like Joni Mitchell, except younger and there’s two of them.

Why: Because good music is good for the soul.  Also, because they’re two hot Canadian singers who are not Bryan Adams.

Then what: Prepare to grab tickets to see them at the Musikfest Cafe on May 20.
